On Tuesday, 24 July, during an official award ceremony held at the RadiciGroup Chemicals site in Novara, a Certiquality Certificate of Excellence was presented to Radici Chimica SpA – a RadiciGroup company involved in the production of polyamide 66 (Radipol®) and related intermediates (Radichem®).
On Tuesday, 24 July, during an official award ceremony held at the RadiciGroup Chemicals site in Novara, a Certiquality Certificate of Excellence was presented to Radici Chimica SpA – a RadiciGroup company involved in the production of polyamide 66 (Radipol®) and related intermediates (Radichem®)¬. The certificate was awarded in recognition of the company’s voluntary commitment to responsible corporate management and its achievement and successful integration of three certifications, specifically, international standards ISO 9001 for quality and ISO 14001 for the environment, and British standard OHSAS 18001 for occupational health and safety.
The Certificate of Excellence was established in 2000 by Certiquality, an organization created in 1989 by Federchimica and Assolombarda to provide certification of corporate quality, environmental and safety management systems, as well as product certification. As of today, however, – according to Ernesto Oppici, chairman of Certiquality, who spoke at the award ceremony, – this certification has been granted only to a limited number of enterprises: a virtuous, avant-garde niche of Italian companies.
“The continual improvement of our business activities is a distinctive feature of our strategy,” said Stefano Alini, Radici Chimica SpA manager of Quality, Environment and Safety. “Over the years, we have made a constant effort not only to improve the quality of our products and services, doing our utmost to deliver maximum customer satisfaction, but also, and most importantly, to protect the environment and ensure the health and safety of our workers. This commitment has involved all the people working for Radici Chimica and has not wavered, even during the 2008 crisis and the current difficult moments – indeed, quite the opposite. We have invested considerable resources in terms of both financial resources and time. We are proud of our achievements, which will motivate us to do even better in the future.”
Among the attendees of the award ceremony were RadiciGroup executives and Giovanni Ceriani, Region of Lombardy area manager of Certiquality, Franco La Ferla, representative of the Novara Industrialists Association (AIN), and Sara Paladini, councillor for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Twin Cities Relations of the Municipality of Novara.
