On 26 October 2026, around 120 employees at RadiciGroup's site in Arco, Italy, dedicated a full working day to health, safety and awareness: the Care to be Safe Day 2026.
For the colleagues in Arco, it was a day to step back from their daily routine and look at health and safety from a different perspective – just as the teams at the group’s sites in Gorzów (Poland) and Premnitz (Germany) did earlier this autumn.
The programme in Arco, organised by HSE Manager Linda Bottesi together with Samantha Pedrotti and a team of colleagues, was set up as a series of stations through which groups rotated during the day.
Safe driving.
Together with ACI Automobile Club Trento, participants started with the theory of safe driving and then moved to practice: a slalom course on wet asphalt at the site, in vehicles fitted with worn tyres. The exercise made reduced grip tangible and showed how a vehicle behaves in hazardous conditions.
Emergency preparedness.
In an interactive workshop, small teams faced five challenges, from multiple-choice questions to arranging emergency actions in the correct sequence. The format combined teamwork, problem-solving and emergency management principles – with a breakfast prize for the best team.
My Job, Our Team.
Selected employees explained to their colleagues how their workday is structured, which challenges they face and how they interact with other departments – strengthening mutual understanding and cross-functional collaboration.
Cyber security.
Safety also extends to the digital world. In a session run by the site’s IT team, practical exercises and real-life examples helped participants learn to recognise phishing, password attacks and malware and to protect company information.
Safe behaviour for safe results.
The day concluded with an experienced trainer and long-serving member of the Arco Fire Brigade, who drew on real emergency scenarios to show that awareness, preparedness and adherence to procedures are the foundation for protecting people, facilities and the environment.
