Radici Plastics USA research a Sales Key Account Manager
Radici Plastics North America is a part of the High-Performance Polymers Business Unit of Radici Group, one of the world’s leading producers of a wide range of chemical intermediates, polyamide polymers, engineering plastics, synthetic fibers, with approximately 3,000 employees, and a network of production and sales sites located throughout Europe, North America, South America and Asia.
The Sales Account Manager – Michigan & Ontario, Canada – will develop and manage the sales territory through constant communication of any and all opportunities that Radici may be able to support at a profitable level. Goal of 20% volume growth (dependent on the size of the territory) annually, with focus on closing new customers. Focus on metal to plastic applications, OEM Development, Extrusion/Unfilled, Long glass and Radiflam opportunities. Work towards meeting all Radici Company goals and objectives.
The candidate will report directly to the National Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
Daily Duties
- daily contact with customers in the assigned territory;
- interface with Customer Service on any inquiries, orders, and/or returns;
- personal visits with customers;
- complete and upload “Visit Reports” on a regular basis in Siebel (CRM);
- coordinate new business development;
- review of all viable opportunities and issuances of supporting documentation in Siebel (CRM) – i.e., market intelligence or business projects;
- siebel (CRM) maintenance of territory programs – projects consistently kept current (SOP, Volumes, Customer Feedback) and closed out when appropriate;
- follow up on status of samples that are trialed by customers;
- provide assistance during technical service calls and visits;
- act as the main contact person for any customer complaints or issues;
- coordination/presentation of price quotes and/or price changes to customers;
- issuance of Change of Business documentation for any new business closes or changes to existing business.
Periodic Duties
- complete forecasting documentation (4 month rolling – 15th of every month);
- entry in Tagetik is required;
- submit all reports due as scheduled (Itineraries, Forecasts, Top Programs, Active Siebel Projects, and Market Intelligence);
- control and documentation of Direct Sales expense reports;
- attend weekly and monthly conference calls with management and other sales team members;
- follow through on Effectiveness Review for Corrective Actions responses sent to customers, allowing CAR close outs in a timely manner;
- entry of specific customer requests in Siebel (RoC, PSW, PPAP, Testing, etc);
- perform any additional tasks as assigned by Direct Manager or Business Manager.

Job Requirements
- degree in sales/marketing, plastics engineering or chemical engineering preferred;
- preferred experience with engineered resin sales; preferable selling experience in plastics molder, compounder and/or extrusion industries;
- english fluency (written and spoken).
Work Environment
- traditional in/home office with ~50% overnight travel as needed.
