The HSE Specialist provides full time environmental, health and safety support to the operation and ensure that all practices are in compliance with state and national regulatory requirements. The HSE Specialist has to coordinate regulatory environmental programs and any permitting requirements. The role supports the development and training of all safety programs and contribute to the implementation of effective HSE management by providing technical support.

The candidate will report hierarchically to QA and HSE Manager of Radici Plastics GmbH and functionally to the Global HSE Manager.

 

Responsabilities

 

  • lead the planning and conducting of periodical HSE inspections and follow-up on the findings
  • lead the ensuring that adequate HSE signs and work instructions are available onsite
  • lead the ensuring that suitable PPE are available to employees and correctly used
  • lead the planning and supervision of HSE monitoring activities by 3rd party labs
  • lead the promotion of reporting, investigation and follow-up of environmental incidents and industrial injuries
  • lead the ensuring that special operation certificates are available and up to date for all special operations (internal and external workers)
  • lead the identification of environmental factors and environmental impact assessments, occupational health and safety hazards and risk assessment
  • lead the management and onsite supervision of contractors and other external parties
  • lead monthly HSE KPIs and annual GRI reporting activities, periodical HSE performance reviews and follow-up actions
  • propose and lead HSE continuous improvement projects
  • supervise waste handling and disposal
  • support and assist the planning, development, presentation and documentation of HSE trainings
  • support and assist in administering LOTO, Hazard Communication, Confined Space, Hearing Conservation,  Respiratory Protection,Tow Motor, Fall Protection, etc.
  • support the preparation of internal and external HSE reports as required
  • support the collection, evaluation and enforcement of applicable HSE laws and regulations, as well as stakeholders' HSE needs and expectations
  • support and follow up the planning and ensuring of effectiveness of HSE emergency response and contingency plans
  • support/Observe internal, 2nd party and 3rd party HSE audits
  • support/Observe initial validation of new equipments, new materials and new technologies

 

Qualification

 

  • university Degree (Technical background, Environmental or Safety engineering is preferred)
  • at least 3 years experience in a HSE role in manufacturing industries
  • intermediate computer skills and MS-Office
  • excellent communication skills in English
